Pinealon: dosage in studies

Not a recommendation, not treatment guidance. This page shows only what published human studies used, with sources. This site does not say how much anyone should use of any substance. The content and quality of a product bought online or as a supplement are not controlled like a medicine's.

Information on pinealon doses in humans comes from only one small Russian study, in which railway locomotive crew workers took pinealon capsules for two weeks [1]B.

In three other Russian human studies pinealon was given alone or with vesugen, but no dose is given in the English abstracts of the publications [2, 3, 4]B.

Doses used in studies

Doses used in published human studies. Not a recommendation.
StudyParticipantsDoseFrequencyDurationSource and level
Nazimko et al. 2012 Railway locomotive crew workers; number of participants and comparison group not given 100 µg in a capsule Twice a day 2 weeks [1]B

Evidence levels: A = randomised human trial or meta-analysis · B = observational human study or case series · C = animal study · D = cell or laboratory study · E = not peer-reviewed

Units: µg = microgram, written mcg in the calculator. A milligram (mg) is a thousand times larger.

Notes

The study measured biological age and adaptation scores, which improved. No placebo group is described, so neither the effectiveness nor the safety of the dose can be inferred [1]B.

The study was published in Russian, and the dose is from its English abstract [1]B.

What points the other way or is uncertain

In a study of 32 people with multiple illnesses, pinealon and vesugen showed a pro-oxidant effect and a fall in blood CD34+ cells, which the authors interpreted as inhibition of blood formation [3]B.

All human studies are small Russian studies without a described placebo group [1, 2, 3, 4]B; two of them were done in Yekaterinburg [3, 4]B.
