Semaglutide has two EU-authorised products whose dosing is shown on this page: Wegovy (semaglutide) for weight management and Ozempic (semaglutide) for type 2 diabetes in adults [1, 2]official.
Wegovy (semaglutide) comes both as a once-weekly injection under the skin and as a once-daily tablet; Ozempic (semaglutide) is injected under the skin once a week [1, 2]official. The figures in the table come from the summaries of product characteristics approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), not from individual studies [1, 2]official.

Notes
The 7.2 mg dose of the Wegovy injection (semaglutide) applies to adults only; weekly doses above 2.4 mg are not recommended for adolescents [1]official.
Milligrams in the injection and the tablet do not match: when switching, the Wegovy product information (semaglutide) pairs the 25 mg daily tablet with the 2.4 mg weekly injection [1]official.
What points the other way or is uncertain
Gastrointestinal effects are the most common: in the Wegovy trials (semaglutide, STEP 1-4) nausea occurred in 43.9% on semaglutide and 16.1% on placebo, and 4.3% stopped treatment because of these effects [1]official. In the Ozempic trials (semaglutide) 6.1% (0.5 mg) and 8.7% (1 mg) stopped because of adverse events, versus 1.5% on placebo [2]official.
With the 7.2 mg dose of Wegovy (semaglutide), 21.6% reported skin sensation disturbances (dysaesthesia) and 5.3% hair loss in STEP UP, versus 0.3% and 1.0% on placebo [1]official.
When 68 weeks of semaglutide 2.4 mg were stopped, participants regained about two-thirds of the weight they had lost within a year (STEP 1 extension, 327 participants) [3]A.
