Where the accounts come from

The accounts come from public Reddit posts in r/30PlusSkinCare, r/Biohackers, r/SkincareAddiction, r/AsianBeauty, r/tretinoin, r/Supplements. They are about collagen, copper peptide (GHK-Cu), Matrixyl, Argireline and microneedling, and date from 1/2024 to 10/2026. Every item was read and coded by hand: product, goal, benefits, harms and time to first change.

The unit of counting is a person, not a post: accounts by the same writer were counted as one person, and no usernames were stored. Accounts that looked like marketing (68) were left out; with them the figures would be 417 people, of whom 308 reported a benefit. There were 56 accounts of injected GHK-Cu or GHK-Cu with no stated route; they have their own rows and are not in the shares. 9% of writers mentioned amounts; we do not repeat them.

Limitation: the data do not cover every post on the largest forums, and some accounts come from question threads.

What can be concluded

The accounts show why these products interest people: many describe healthier hair and nails or smoother, more glowing skin. They do not show whether the change came from the product, other skincare, the season or expectations, and they cannot separate a placebo effect. The writers are self-selected: satisfied and disappointed people post more often than others.
